Campus Rec Trips Policy Information

Weather Policy: Wilderness Welcome trips will go rain or shine unless the safety of the trip is jeopardized by dangerous weather conditions. Staff will select an alternative location if the previous location is inaccessible due to weather or other natural phenomenon. We require all vehicles for snow trips to have chains or four wheel drive.
 
Cancellation Policy: All trips sales are final and are Non-Refundable unless the trip is canceled by Outdoor Pursuits. Weather cancellations are up to the guide to decide, not the registrant.
 
Alcohol & Drug Policy: Alcohol and non-prescription drugs (including marijuana) have no place on a Wilderness Welcome trip. If any non-prescription drugs or alcohol are discovered, the guides are obligated to report the participant(s) to the appropriate authorities. The participant will be removed from the trip and Outdoor Pursuits will ban the person(s) involved from future trips.
 
Food and Transportation: All food and transportation are provided while in the field including meals in the recreation center. On the road meals will not be provided so please plan accordingly.
 
Safety and Reputation: Outdoor Pursuits cannot guarantee any persons safety in the field. All safety precautions taken by guides are for the well-being of the group and guides have the final say in all matters while on a trip. Outdoor Pursuits’ personal conduct policy is that of Sonoma State University's. For more information consult the Affirmative Action and Nondiscrimination Policies and Complaint Procedures and the Student Conduct and Student Discipline Policy in the SSU catalog. Campus Recreation has the right to refuse any participant from trips and programs.

By completing this transaction, I am acknowledging that I have read and understand the policies stated above. I also understand that it is my responsibility to seek assistance should I have questions about any policy set forth by Adventure Programs, Wilderness Welcome, Campus Recreation, or Sonoma State University.

After completing your transaction, the Adventure Programs team will be in contact with you via email to follow up with waiver and additional registration needs.
